Well It's bloody cold and someone asked me how I did it and what the wiring connections for a Skoda were. It was  -2degrees!. you can get the alientech from

 Alientech

well Here Goes! proceed at your own risk I take no responsibility

firstly remove door trim, the manual that accompanies the alientech is pretty good and is not wrong in any respect except getting the door handle trim off, do it from below, you WILL scratch it and at least from below you cant see the scratches,

1.) remove all screws from around door, 7 off

2.)remove door handle (see photo) mirror control and top speaker. (and associated wiring) yes that is ice on the windows I must be bloody mad!!

3.) remove 3 screws from door handle and 1 from lever (door handle middle screw is longest one)

5.)lift door panel out at bottom about 2 inches then up, its tight/very tight

4.)undo cable from door lever-----do not forget to re connect this when putting it back!!! and all other wiring (alarm led and door open light)

fit alientech as per instructions using wiring details below.

alientech                                    car solid/trace

green                                        black/yellow

black                                         yellow/black

blue                                           brown

yellow                                        white/yellow

white                                         brown/yellow

orange                                        grey/red

red                                             grey/black

reassembly is reverse of removal but I advise you connect up the door control/locking without putting on the door trim and test everything first (before you re-assemble everything). Your finished look as to the wiring will look a lot better than mine as I had to figure out what wire went where!  it works with the Skoda without an alarm due to the safe locking system, if you disable that (led on drivers door does not flash) alientech wont work. it worked for me it should work for you. and here's another photo for you.

Reproduced below is operating instructions from the  Alientech website

Basic Commands

The most basic function of the Alien Window controller is to allow you to remotely roll your car's windows up and down. You can ROLL DOWN, ROLLUP, or VENT windows. Venting your windows leaves them open a slight amount, especially useful to allow heat to escape on hot days, and keep the interior of your car cooler.

Using the remote when returning to your vehicle:

UNLOCK -> Unlocks the driver's door.

UNLOCK - UNLOCK -> Unlocks all doors.

UNLOCK - UNLOCK - UNLOCK -> Unlocks all doors and ROLL DOWNS the windows. new feature

VW remote use when leaving your vehicle:

LOCK -> Locks all doors (stock VW).

UNLOCK - LOCK ->Locks all doors and ROLLUP all windows and sunroof. new feature

UNLOCK - LOCK - UNLOCK -> Locks all doors and ROLLUP sunroof and VENTS windows. new feature

More features:

Rollup takeover -> Lock the car using the key, and wait until windows begin to rollup. You can then remove the key, and the controller will continue rolling the windows up for you. new feature

This is what the three main commands do:

ROLL DOWN Unlocks all doors and opens all windows. This is especially useful on hot days to let the heat out before you get in the car.

ROLLUP Locks all doors and closes all windows and the sunroof. Just do a ROLLUP command when leaving your car, and be on your way without waiting for the windows and sunroof to close. The Alien Window controller will do it for you!

VENT Locks all doors and closes all windows and sunroof, just like a ROLLUP. VENT then opens the windows a slight amount to help let air circulate and heat escape. VENT is especially useful on hot days to help keep the interior of your car cooler. The size of the opening can be adjusted (see User Options.

For safety (or convenience) you can CANCEL Alien Window controller commands in progress by pressing UNLOCK on the remote. Cancelling ROLL DOWN immediately stops all windows at their current position. Cancelling VENT stops the windows from going up, reverses their direction, and rolls them down completely. Cancel ROLLUP by pressing UNLOCK twice - the first one is taken as a VENT command, the second Cancels.

See safety to learn how the Alien Window controller is designed sith safety and security in mind.

User Options

The Alien Window controller supports programmable User Options that let you change the way the controller works. Programmable Settings let you enable or disable some features, and adjust others. Options may be changed at any time, as often as you wish. The Alien Window controller even allows you to store multiple configurations for your convenience!

User Options are changed by following the instructions included with the controller. It takes only 30 seconds to change options, and options may be changed any time the vehicle is off. Changes are remembered until you change them again.

Here is the list of User Options and what they do:

No sunroof. Set this option to allow faster operation if your car is not equipped with a sunroof. No harm is done by leaving this set to the sunroof setting, it will just take longer to do a vent command.

Disable rollups. Setting this option will disable all rollups, EXCEPT the windows may be rolled up if the were left in the vent position.

Disable roll downs. Setting this option will disable all roll downs, EXCEPT that the VENT command may be used, and CANCEL will still result in a roll down.

Note: Disabling BOTH rollups and roll downs will disable the controller entirely until one or both of these options are again enabled.

Swap vent and rollup commands. If you normally vent your car, you can swap the vent and rollup commands to make the vent command quicker. If this option is set, the command for vent is UNLOCK - LOCK, and the command for rollup is UNLOCK - LOCK - UNLOCK. Use this to make the most frequently used command the quickest.

Add to vent. Setting this option will add approximately 1/2 inch to the opening provided by the vent command. This setting is suitable for use with cars equipped with wind deflectors.

Add more to vent. Setting this option will add approximately 1 1/4 inch to the opening provided by the vent command

Note: Both may be used together. This provides four opening settings: 3/4, 1 1/4, 2, and 2 1/2 inches. Due to differences between vehicles, etc, exact opening distances may vary slightly.

Disable timeout. The 30 second rollup timeout (measured from closing the driver's door) is intended to provide a modest level of safety and to help prevent accidents. The user may now disable this timeout and allow rollups at any time. Alientech, LLC does not recommend disabling this timeout. Full responsibility for safety and proper use rest with the user.

Multiple configurations.

Multiple configurations are supported, and a quick and easy method has been provided to switch between them. The user may wish to use the alternate configuration for a number of reasons. You might have a second, "disabled" setting for use when leaving the car for service or with a valet. You might create Summer and Winter configurations with different vent options.

Create configurations with your favourite User Options, then quickly and easily switch between them at any time!

Safety Highlights

bulletWorks only when the ignition is off and the key has been removed from the ignition.
bulletWorks only when the driver's door is closed. All Alien Window controller activity immediately halts if driver's door is opened.
bulletWorks only with your VW remote control.
bulletDoes not interfere with normal remote operations.
bulletAll Alien Window controller commands were designed to minimize accidental activation.
bulletAssuming your factory alarm is set to beep when being armed, the Alien Window controller will confirm the start of ROLLUP and VENT commands.
bulletAll Alien Window controller commands initiated from the remote can also be cancelled from the remote, and driver's door is unlocked after cancellation.
bulletDoes not change other vehicle operations or controls: all manufacturer provided safety, security and convenience features are unaffected.
The Alien Window controller was designed to allow manual control of your car's windows using the factory remote control. The user should always be aware of the environment, and use the capabilities of the controller in a responsible and safe manner. The Alien Window controller has no way of knowing about vehicle occupants or window obstructions.

Ergonomics. A lot of thought was put into seamlessly integrating the Alien Window commands and features with your vehicle. Commands were designed to avoid conflict with existing controls, be easy to remember and use, and avoid accidental activation. Two different buttons must be pressed to activate a rollup remotely. If the second button is not pressed in a relatively short time period, the entire command is cancelled. The only command which can be caused by pressing a single button, as might happen accidentally, is the ROLLDOWN command.

Panic stops. If you do mistakenly command a rollup, the CANCEL command can be used to stop (and reverse) the rollup.

Security

bulletUnlike some competitive products, the AlienWindow controller is not designed to unlock your car while it is unattended.
bulletUses the VW factory remote, so you get full benefit of the "code changing" security features which VW provides.
bulletDoes not interfere with the factory alarm.
bulletThe AlienWindow controller verifies completion of a successful VENT by locking the car and setting the alarm.
