How to change the boring small red led for a nice big blue one! or green or yellow.

remove old led from door trim, drill out hole to 4.8mm  (makes it tight you can use 5mm and silicoln if you wanted to but 4.8 looks good)

from below TOUCH AND I MEAN TOUCH a 6mm drill on the bottom (so the led pushes right through and protrudes slightly, do it to much and it will fall through as the base of the led is bigger than the head)

i cut the old connector and connected the new led to it via a 560ohm resistor (insulate everything)

before fitting led into door trim test it by plugging it into car connector, shut door (ensuring you don't trap any loose wire's and locking door. if it flashes great if not reverse the connections and try again (led's only work one way round)

fit into door trim and secure with silicoln.

heres what the finished article looks light. I used a blue led but you could use green yellow red whatever you like as long as it's current consumption is no more than 20ma
